NFT NYC JUNE 21–22–23

With our NFT NYC event, Lvcidia will be bridged with reality in a way never seen before. Our collaborators PHNTM Labs have been working tirelessly to create a memorable, interactive experience that is sure to stand out. Their devotion to bringing Fred’s vision to life is truly admirable, utilizing new technology to showcase the full potential of what Lvcidia has to offer. And the best part — NYC is only the start of what we have planned. We’ll keep from saying too much, but for NFT NYC you can look forward to: a major artist performing opening night, physical sculptures, interactive media, digital activations, projection mapping, and other surprises. There wil be something to do each day, so we hope you can stop by! More details coming soon on Twitter and Discord.

This past weekend (June 11–12) we hosted a Lvcidia event in partnership with Mural Fest Montreal. The festival is a celebration of music and art, with artists around the city being invited to paint beautiful large-scale murals. Fvckrender has a long history with Mural Fest, having painted a mural for them a few years back. Our Lvcidia Experience there consisted of an official after-party and an art exhibition. Fvckrender holders were given special privileges for the party, such as VIP access, free alcohol, permission to skip the line-up, and discounted merch. At the event we sold our first official Lvcidia merchandise, and an exclusive NFT. Thank you to everyone who showed up to make the event a huge success! It represents only a fraction of what we have planned for NYC.

Our first series of finery has officially finished production! As mentioned before, the first pieces for sale will be the event-exclusive t-shirts for MTL and NYC in June. We have opted for the highest quality materials and are very excited to finally get it in your hands. To that end, we are working to have our e-commerce website built by the end of July with web3 integrations so that our supporters can purchase the remaining merch options (seen below). By taking the time to build a strong e-comm website, it’ll allow us more options in the future for selling physical items, NFTs, event passes, and offering collectors discounts. We have also opened a physical department, with hopes to produce smaller physical art pieces that you can display in your home.

With the recent launch of Unreal Engine 5, our dev team AnamXR is very excited to create a new realm for Lvcidia with the updated engine. Currently, Lvcidia is built in UE4. Unreal Engine 5 has better graphics, better mechanics, interactions, and it can run on lighter hardware. It is going to change everything about Lvcidia. The lines between what is real and what is fake within the virtual world will be even further blurred, allowing for a more immersive experience. And we’d like to develop the new galaxy in a collaborative effort with the community. Our dedicated supporters will be given power and control over the next adventure in Lvcidia.

Part of those future efforts to give the community more power within Lvcidia involves Stars and Planets. While the information shared publicly on this is currently limited (planet sale is slated for Q4), what we can say is that customizability of the Lvcidia experience is something very much on our minds. We want players to be able to control their environments and personalize their experiences within Lvcidia. Unlike our past 1/1 planet sales, these upcoming planets would be much more accessible in terms of pricing. We look forward to building a universe together with you all.

Not everyone has the time or resources to attend major events such as NFT NYC or Mural Fest, which is why we encourage the creation of community-organized events. We believe events are a great means of onboarding new people into the NFT community, as well as connecting with other collectors. Community member @VancouverNFT is currently organizing an event for British Columbia, and we are supporting in any way we can. If you’d like to do something similar, feel free to reach out to us on Twitter or Discord.

We love to see that despite the market slowing down a bit, there are still plenty of you burning ESSENCE for new random avatars. There are still a few handmades waiting to be revealed for lucky burners, but for now — here are my personal favorite reveals from the last couple weeks. Congrats to the minters!

Avatars of the Week, Week 2

To help keep the discord running, we’ve brought on two new Helpers: BONGLO and WIRELYSS. They were radiant community members before being brought on, so it’s a pleasure to now have them as part of the team. If you ever need help or have concerns, feel free to open a ticket on discord for their assistance. We’re always looking for new people to contribute to the project and help us grow, so if you think there might be a place for you feel free to reach out to our community manager ANDY or message us on discord.

After the launch of our new planet Rouge, we hosted a photography challenge to see who can capture the best shots. It was great going through all the submissions. Everybody had a unique eye, and made the decision to pick winners far from easy. Congratulations to @Vital_NFTs@fakenine_, and @590nm_ for their stunning shots, viewable here. We’ll be doing more contests like this in the future, look forward to it!

Fvck Ledger

As mentioned last newsletter, Fvckrender collaborated with CoinbaseNFT on their gift boxes. Since then, we were able to give a few away to lucky members of our discord. Musical artist and Lvcidia Sound Designer THE HOLY had his first NiftyGateway drop, with art by Fvckrender. The Holy’s music will continue to play an even greater role in the Lvcidia experience. Finally, Fvckrender worked with Ledger to help advertise their NFT NYC event. It’s been a great partnership so far, with plenty of exciting things to come (maybe even a FvckLedger). If you are part of a team that would like to collaborate with us, feel free to open a support ticket in our discord with details.
