A Stake in the Universe

Beauty

Incoming_Transmission: Hello explorers. At long last, we are able to announce the launch date for the First Era of staking. The pieces are falling into place. At this critical moment in our development, we want to take a moment to clarify our goals for Lvcidia. With the community unified under a shared vision, we’ll truly be able to shoot for the stars.

When reality becomes too heavy to bear, free yourself from gravity and escape the waking world

STAKING — OCTOBER 27th

As announced in our most recent Fvck Monday (recording available here), the First Era of Lvcidia staking will begin on October 27th at 7pm ET! For the lead-up to the launch, our social media manager Katie has been working with our video editor Alex to produce daily content for our socials. These videos feature interviews with our core team members and collaborators, all of whom have helped make staking a reality. Whether you’re new to Lvcidia or a long time holder, watching the interview clips is a great way to get you prepared for staking. Each video also serves as a Fvck Avatar giveaway, with a retweet counting as an entry.

We cannot thank you all enough for being so patient with staking, and assure you that the wait will be worth it. All the time and work has gone into delivering the best possible experience for our community. We hope you all participate in building this universe together with us.

FVCK_MONDAY RECAP: STAKING

ADDRESSING CONCERNS

During the last Fvck Monday, Fvckrender made a point to address concerns around staking that had popped up in our Discord. Staking is often associated with games, so some felt that adding it into Lvcidia was sending the wrong message. After all, a point we’ve often made is that Lvcidia is not just a game: it’s an interactive art experience. So, why add staking? For us, staking means we can allow our collectors to participate in creating the largest immersive artwork the world has ever seen. Through earning resources and creating stars, staking encourages community collaboration in the pursuit of art. It is unlike any form of staking you have seen prior, and will only add to the experience we are building.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

As the market has slowed down, and some collectors have taken time away from NFTs, one might have the question: why should I participate in staking? Manny, our COO, felt it was important to address this point. In his view: “If you had the chance to be there at The Big Bang, and just sign your name into the sky, wouldn’t you do it?”. The First Era of staking is our Big Bang — the start of a new Lvcidia. One built for and by our community. By creating stars using the resources earned in staking, you can leave your mark on Lvcidia as one of its earliest supporters. You will also be better prepared for future Eras of staking, as the mechanics will evolve over time.

ON DESIGN

Our partners at UKEN Games developed the mechanics side of staking, a process their team member Jash spoke about during our live. In designing Lvcidia’s staking, they always held community first. If it wasn’t providing a meaningful, active experience for our community, there would be no point. To that end, they designed staking as an iterative process. The First Era is more simplified, allowing for a sooner launch and quicker feedback. That feedback will then be built into the Second Era, the Third, and so on, to ensure we are always building with our supporters’ best interests at heart.

LVCIDIA X DEGENTOONZ

On Saturday October 1st we hosted a scavenger hunt on Rouge for our collectors, in collaboration with the project Degen Toonz. Degen Toonz #7326 and a radioactive dynamite were hidden on the planet, to be awarded to the first hunter to find them. A little over an hour after the challenge went live, the stellar @PJVolta secured the prize. Congrats PJ!

Additionally, earlier this month Fvckrender appeared on an episode of Toon Talk, speaking about Lvcidia and our upcoming staking. The recording is available here. We really enjoyed this cross-project collaboration, and hope to do more in the future! If you represent a project that would like to collaborate with us, you can always reach out on our Twitter or Discord.

AVATARS OF THE WEEK

ESSENCE. What does fate have in store for you? One lucky collector minted a beautiful handmade avatar by Jason Ebeyer this past month, and there are still more surprises in store. We’re slowly starting to receive the handmade avatars that will be added to the collection at a date TBA. It’s been tricky navigating each artist’s busy schedules, but we’re making progress. Once we have them all, we’ll make their addition to the minting pool a proper event with a marketing campaign to promote it.

In the meantime, here are our favorite new avatar reveals of the week!

SURVEY/GIVEAWAY

Recently, one of our longtime supporters and top collectors @NFTArtGallery was added to our helper team in Discord. As part of our team, he’ll be leading initiatives aimed at growing our community and making our current collectors feel more valued. To that end, he’s created a survey that we would greatly appreciate if you all filled out. We’ll be randomly giving away a few avatars to those of you who complete the survey this week. Scan the QR code below to get started!

NOTE: Your name is not required on the survey, so if you would prefer to stay undoxxed that is perfectly fine. The goal is to connect the community and take the Lvcidia experience to the next level.
