ROUGE CHALLENGE #2
On Friday July 22nd, we launched our second challenge on Rouge. The team wanted this challenge to be distinct from the last, requiring a different approach from our community. Rather than just speed, this challenge favored intellect and creativity. Old mechanics were brought back, and new ones introduced. It was a mental activation making for a truly dynamic experience. Notably, we wanted to explore the question “What does it mean to explore a Fvckrender piece on a monolithic scale?”.
The launch was a big success. We chose a launch time that would be reasonable for a variety of time zones, so players from around the world would be able to participate in the initial race to finish. While the puzzle of the challenge proved quite difficult, our community banded together to find the solution.There were also small hints given out in our Discord for those watching closely. Escape room aficionado @Mazeness was the first to complete the challenge, doing so faster than we ever anticipated. After we review the list of winners, the first 25 winners will be sent a TENACITY STONE//. And even if you are not among the first 25: everyone who completes the challenge will be logged in our system for the future…
For those of you who might appreciate an alternative to the challenge, we also are running a photo contest in our discord. Simply jump into Lvcidia, land on Rouge, and capture great shots to be in the running for special prizes. You can post them on twitter with the hashtags #rouge and #lvcidia, or in discord to be entered. Good luck!
STAKING
During our last Fvck_Monday, CHRIS and JASH of Uken Games dropped some exciting information regarding staking. Phase I of our staking tool is estimated to launch in September, giving our collector base a new way of participating in the creation of Lvcidia. To start, there will be 9 available resources — of varying rarities — that can be earned by staking Fvck_Crystals or Fvck_Avatars. These resources will be stored on-chain, and can be used to create new NFTs. We will also encourage resource trading, so that a thriving resource market may develop.
Phase I of staking will be a utility available to all Lvcidia holders. Collectors big and small will be able to stake their NFTs at a resource field, earning rewards dependent on the attributes of their staked NFTs. We want the community to experiment, coming together to uncover the secrets of the mechanic. Crystals will receive greater benefits than avatars within this process, as a thank you to our early collectors. You will make choices, come up with goals, and in the end: create a brighter Lvcidia.

In order to have an archive of newsletters for the community to access whenever they please, I’ve created a Medium page for LVCIDIA. All of the past newsletters have been archived there as articles. DISCORD LAYOUT
Team member MANNY has been working on the discord these last couple weeks, adding and organizing channels. The Lvcidia brand has many facets — digital, physical, and finery (clothing) — all being developed concurrently. The changes to the discord are mainly organizational, so we can deliver individualized updates on each of these aspects of the brand with full clarity. It’s still a WIP and may be changed more in response to community feedback. To that end, if you have any suggestions for how we could improve the discord, please post in our suggestions channel or tell us directly during the next Fvck_Monday.
CLOTHING
The finery site is still being developed, but we estimate launch will be in August. The first collection will feature clothing items we’ve shown before on our twitter, which we had available at NFT NYC. The site will have web3 integration to allow for collectors to receive discounts. While the website is being developed, our team is already at work developing our second clothing collection. Finding the right materials and designs can take time, so we thought it’d be best to work ahead. We are also having very exciting meetings with IRL stores to stock Lvcidia merchandise in the future. More than just another metaverse, we belief these steps will be crucial in proving the potential of the Lvcidia brand.
AVATARS OF THE WEEK
From the ashes of ESSENCE, new avatars come into being. It is impressive how many of you continue to hold onto your Essence NFT. Once the artwork is completed, we will be adding more handmade avatars to the pool of potential rewards. Will you be able to resist temptation? Or will you burn the beauty that was made for the flames? Here are my personal favorite new avatars of the week, burned by those who were unable to hold any longer. Congratulations!
FVCK_INTEL
Team member BONGLO has been doing an incredible job providing market updates and project reports for collectors in our discord server. The feedback so far has been great, with many community members reporting greater success in their recent trading. While we work to get our other major utilities off the ground for Lvcidia, we hope you all are taking full advantage of the resources Bonglo is providing. We are very thankful to have him on the team, and hope you are too.
CONTEST WINNER
The legend FVCKRENDER hosted a surprise contest in our discord this past week, giving away a Handmade Fvck_Crystal NFT. When we originally launched the crystal collection, Fred promised that if he minted any Handmade NFTs he would give them away to the community. It was great to see the excitement among collectors for this giveaway, signified by the many eggplant emojis in chat. And reasonably so, as it’s rare for such a valuable NFT to be given away for free. Congratulations to the winner of the crystal: @SANSANSAN.

Ryan is an LA-based writer and filmmaker. He began as a Lvcidia community member in early 2021, drawn to the cinematic beauty of Fvckrender’s virtual creations. His engagement with the community led to him becoming a moderator for the Discord, and in 2022 he was brought on officially to create Lvcidia’s newsletter. He now assists in writing articles for the Lvcidia journal, conducting interviews, and moderating the occasional live Q&A.
